WHERE ARE ALPHA MOTORS MADE?

We make no apology; ALPHA motors are made in Hangzhou China by Wistar, with whom we have an exclusivity agreement. Every country has good engineers and good manufacturers. We went to a lot of trouble to find the right manufacturer for our product. Unfortunately, most businesses importing motors from China are more concerned with the lowest possible price and are often prepared to play the odds on the motor making it to the end of its warranty period. If you want a top-quality product, you only to seek it out. We did, but unfortunately many do not.

WHAT CAN I MOTORISE WITH ALPHA

ALPHA tubular motors can be used to automate roller blinds, roller shutters, projector screens and all types of awnings. Any one of these can be controlled with a simple radio frequency remote or connected to a building management system for full automation. External products can also be protected by a sun & wind sensor if required.

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH A MOTOR?

In the unlikely event of one of our motors ‘breaking down’, you are covered by a 7 year replacement warranty.

ARE ALPHA MOTORS SAFE?

All Alpha products meet or exceed Australian standards and carry the RCM mark for electrical and EMF emission compliance.

IF I HAVE A BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM LIKE C-BUS, CAN I PARALLEL WIRE THE MOTORS TOGETHER?

Yes, Our WSEC series of motors which are designed for this type of use can be parallel wired without extra equipment provided all the motors connected together will work in unison. Any motor that requires independent control must be wired individually.

ONCE I HAVE ASSIGNED A REMOTE CONTROL TO A MOTOR, DO I NEED TO ACCESS THE MOTOR AGAIN?

No. Once a remote control is assigned to a motor, all functions can be performed by the remote control. The only reason to access the motor in the future would be if the remote control was lost or broken. If the motor is particularly difficult to get to, then consider assigning a second remote to the motor as a backup against the original remote being damaged or lost.

HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN A MOTOR LIFT?

View or download our lifting capacity chart here and it will tell you how much weight you can lift with each motor strength on different tube sizes.

HOW DO I SELECT THE RIGHT MOTOR FOR THE JOB?
